On the foothills of the southern slope of the « Grand Luberon », for several centuries the grapevine has been expressed through the quality of red wines, rosé and white wines it produces.
This particular character was established in 1988 by the recognition of AOC « LUBERON » whose wines are, to this day, made by a wine cooperative and private wineries for the villages of Cucuron and Vaugines.
Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Carignan grapes are the main grape varieties producing red and rosés wines.
White Grenache, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Vermentino, Viognier, and Ugni Blanc are those used for the production of fine white wines.
The winemakers of CUCURON and VAUGINES are pleased to invite you to discover the diversity of their wines:
- dry and elegant white,
- light in colour, aromatic and generous rosés,
- the most fruity and delicious, the most robust and intense reds.
If you are visiting our villages in the month of September, be sure to also try out our Muscat or Alphonse Lavallée table grapes.
